The Knight Institute Writing Walk-In Service Cornell's writing center, offers tutoring for undergradaute students. Trained graduate and undergraduate tutors are available five days a week, Sunday through Thursday, to discuss specific pieces of writing or questions about writing.

 

At the WWIS, writers will be greeted by engaged and engaging peers who listen patiently, read thoughtfully, and offer considerate, supportive, and challenging feedback.

  • To discuss academic writing projects from any discipline, at any stage of the drafting process, select "Writing Tutorials
  • To discuss personal statements and other application materials, select "Personal Statements and Applications"
  • To discuss writing and language from the perspectives of language acquisition and cultural expectations, select "Multilingual Writing Tutorials"
  • To schedule an appointment with our Writing Workshop Director, select "Dr. Tracy Hamler Carrick(special permission only)
